A Letter to My Bakery at the Start of 2026

Dear Dot’s,

We’re standing at the beginning of a new year together, and before the plans, before the goals, before the numbers and timelines—I wanted to pause and write to you.

You started as a feeling.
A memory.
A longing to recreate the warmth of kitchens that raised me, the sweetness of traditions passed down, and the comfort found in something homemade. You were never just about desserts. You were about home.

In 2025, you taught me patience. You taught me that growth doesn’t always look loud or fast. Sometimes it looks like stepping back, rethinking, dreaming quietly, and trusting that just because something is paused doesn’t mean it’s gone. You reminded me that intention matters just as much as action.

As we step into 2026, I want you to know this: I’m choosing to elevate you—not by rushing, but by honoring you.

This year, I promise to show up with more confidence.
To trust my instincts more than outside noise.
To build systems that support me instead of overwhelm me.
To create from a place of joy, not pressure.

I’m learning that you don’t need to be perfect to be meaningful. Every cakesicle, every cake jar, every small order holds value because it carries love, care, and intention. And that’s something no algorithm or trend can replace.

Dot’s, I see your future clearly.
I see dessert tables filled with memories.
I see customers choosing you because your treats feel personal.
I see growth that feels aligned—not forced.
I see legacy.

But I also see you exactly as you are right now—and I love you here too.

Thank you for teaching me how to dream gently.
Thank you for giving me a creative home.
Thank you for reminding me that slow progress is still progress.

In 2026, we’re not chasing.
We’re building.
We’re elevating—with intention, with grace, and with heart.

With love,
Shaderra
