My Cozy Fall Bucket List

There’s just something magical about September. For most, it marks the end of summer—but for me? It’s the start of everything I love. I get so excited because September means cooler weather is finally on the way. And if you know me, you know I’m a winter person through and through—probably because I’m a December baby! ❄️ So when fall arrives, it’s like a cozy countdown to my favorite season.

Fall feels like a warm hug wrapped in cinnamon and pumpkin spice. Even when I’m not fully baking, the vibes of the season always pull me in and inspire me. That’s why I love making a little bucket list—not to put pressure on myself to do it all, but to be intentional about soaking in the season’s magic.

So here it is—My Cozy Fall Bucket List, filled with traditions, new ideas, and sweet little plans I can’t wait to experience.

🍂 My Cozy Fall Bucket List

1. Plan a Cozy Weekend with My Bestie

Bestie Weekends are our thing—we do them once a month, and this fall I want to lean all the way into the cozy. I’m thinking a movie marathon, oversized sweaters, warm mugs, and surprise boo baskets for each other. Little fall goodies, favorite snacks, candles, socks—just a bundle of thoughtful joy.

2. Make a Fall Soup I’ve Never Tried Before

Soup season is calling! This year I want to try something completely new—maybe a roasted apple and squash soup, a creamy white bean and kale, or even a smoky pumpkin chili. I love the idea of pairing it with grilled cheese or homemade biscuits on a crisp afternoon.

3. Draw Fall-Inspired Art on My iPad (in Procreate)

I’ve really been enjoying digital drawing lately, and this season I want to challenge myself to fill my iPad with fall magic. Think pumpkins, markets, cozy kitchens, warm drinks, and maybe a fall-themed treat table inspired by Dot’s Petite Bakery Co.

Here’s the first piece I’ve worked on this season — I painted it with all the autumn light, warmth, and color that I hope this fall brings into my life 🍂🎨

4. Bake a Fall Treat for My Dog

Binx deserves his own fall moment too! I’m thinking a mini pumpkin and peanut butter dog cake or homemade dog treats shaped like leaves or bones. It’s my way of showing him some love with a cozy twist.

5. Visit a Local Farmers Market

This has been on my list for a while—I want to explore a market and get a feel for what it’s like because one day I’d love to have Dot’s Petite Bakery Co. set up with seasonal treats, cozy boxes, and all the nostalgic feels. This visit is part fun, part dream research.

6. Make S’mores (Because, of Course)

S’mores just belong to fall. Whether it’s outside by a firepit or a little oven-baked version inside, I want to enjoy at least one s’mores night this season. Gooey, messy, sweet—and perfect.

7. Have a Cozy Fall Picnic

I’d love to plan a simple picnic on a cool day. Blanket, thermos of hot cider, a few fall snacks (maybe soup in a jar?), and just take in the scenery. A little basket and a lot of intention.

🍁 Bonus Ideas I Might Add to the Mix:

🍎 Visit an apple orchard or pumpkin patch

☕ Try a new fall-flavored drink every weekend

🕯️ Light a fall candle each morning and set an intention

🧁 Bake one nostalgic fall treat (maybe something my grandma used to make)

🧤 Start collecting ideas for my future winter baking menu
